UNIVERSITY GENERAL EDUCATION CORE CURRICULUM and the Criminal Justice Major

Before being admitted to the Criminal Justice Studies Program, students must complete the following four courses - with a 'C' or higher, and the average of the four courses (weighted equally) must be at least 2.5. All of these courses can satisfy some component of the General Education Core Curriculum.

1) STAT 2000
2) POLS1101
3) PSYC 1101
4) SOCI 1101

To fulfill the Arts and Sciences language requirement, Criminal Justice majors must complete a single foreign language through the 3rd course.

Students who first matriculated in college - ANYWHERE - before Fall 1996 will be required to follow the Core curriculum previously used for the Quarter System.  Please check with the CJSP office for a copy of the Quarter System Core check sheet. Questions and/or concerns about this policy should be directed to the Office of the Dean, Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
